AgResourced is the brain child of Amanda Bell - a farmer, agribusiness advisor, veterinarian and company director
Amanda is focused on developing solutions that increase productivity, profitability and long-term sustainability for New Zealand agriculture.
Amanda farms Criffel Station, in Wanaka, which she converted into a deer breeding and finishing farm in 1993 with husband Jerry Bell. Criffel produces top quality breeding hinds and stags, along with seasonal lamb finishing and dairy support operations.
Amanda has been in veterinary practice for the past 25 years, with a focus on integrating science and tools into farm management practices. The work naturally evolved into an agricultural advisory and business consultancy.
She is currently a director of Animal Remedies Ltd and the Johne’s Disease Research Consortium (work which won her the Deer Industry Award in 2011) and chairs Passion to Profit, Deer Industry Productivity Improvement Programme.
Through these various experiences – from hands-on farming, through to governance – Amanda has developed an extensive network, including farmers, advisors, service providers, scientists, processors, industry contacts and marketers which she now draws on for her AgResourced clients.
